Road Safety Week 2018

Road Safety Week 2018 takes place from the 1st of October to Sunday the 7th of October thanks to the Irish Road Safety Authority. Here’s a list of the road safety activities happening all over Ireland this week –

•    Wednesday 3rd October: This is 'Tyre Safety Day'. The Irish Tyre Industry Association (ITIA) members around Ireland are inviting all motorists to call in for a FREE tyre pressure check and thread depth inspection during RSA Road Safety Week.

•    Thursday 4th October: The second Driving for work Seminar hosted by the RSA, HSA and An Garda Síochána on ‘Managing Driving for Work’ for employers will take place in the Bunratty Castle Hotel, Shannon, Co Clare from 8.30am to 1pm.

•    Friday 5th October: National “Beep Beep Day” gives pre-schoolers a chance to actively get involved in road safety and will help to raise awareness about road safety for kids.

The Importance of Road Safety

As one of Ireland’s main suppliers of road safety signs, we're aware of the frequency of road incidents that take place across Ireland not just on a daily but an hourly basis. We understand the urgency of our customers’ jobs so we deliver a service that helps them to address any roadworks situation - by reacting as fast as possible.

To help our customers order their signs as quickly as possible we’ve listed all of our road and traffic signs on our website and split them into helpful categories according to warning, roadworks, traffic management, supplementary and regulatory road incidents. We also stock a huge range of our most commonly requested signs for urgent road situations and offer a print on demand service with next day delivery for anywhere in Ireland.

Winter is coming and forecasters are predicting the bleakest winter in over 50 years, as Arctic weather threatens to make it far colder than even the big freeze of 2010. With the Road Safety Authority releasing their winter ready ad this week, it’s a reminder for all to take extra care on the roads as well as road safety authorities to stock up on road signs for the weeks ahead.
